Solid and Engineered Wood
Makes include: Kersaint Cobb, Havwoods, Quickstep, Boen, Kӓhrs, and Tarkett
Solid and engineered wood is available in oak, beech, maple, cherry, birch, walnut, merbau, antique oak and white brushed. They come in several different finishes such as satin lacquered, antique brushed matt and matt lacquered with others available.
Solid wood is unsurpassed in its natural beauty but engineered is a fine alternative if you have under-floor heating where solid wood can’t be used. Engineered wood is a man-made layered wood that is finished with a solid wood veneer.
Makes include: Quickstep, Balterio, Egger and Sensa
Laminate wood comes in a wide range of prices and styles, such as a full plank effect, a two or three strip effect and also one that looks like a ceramic tile effect board. We do not use cheap DIY quality laminated wood as we believe it is a false economy.
We don’t recommend laminate for bathrooms, due to the humidity and would normally suggest vinyl instead. Good quality laminate has a realistic effect, similar to real wood flooring. We can also supply a manufacturer’s cleaning kit so you can care for your new floor.
All the laminated flooring we supply and fit is on a good quality sound-proofed underlay and all the different ranges come with matching trims such as doorbars, skirting boards, scotia, pipe covers and other edging.
